
Ingredients
- Feta cheese
- Red onion
- Cucumber
- Tomato
- Green pepper
- Black olives
- Olive oil
- Lemon juice
Preparation
- Rinse in cold water and then dry the tomato, green pepper and cucumber.
- Peel the red onion and cut into thin strips.
- Soak the onion in a bowl with cold water and a tablespoon of vinegar – this will give it a milder flavour.
- Cut the tomato into quarters, removing the middle.
- Cut off the tail and remove the seeds from the green pepper and then slice.
- Cut the cucumber into slices and quarters.
- Cut the feta cheese into cubes.
- With all the all the ingredients now ready, mix the tomato, pepper, cucumber, drained onion, feta cheese and black olives and serve either in individual portions or a large bowl in the centre of the table.
- Add a good dash of olive oil, salt to taste and a sprinkle of oregano.
